How it connects

An installed package, with four permissions.

Data Extensions: read and write

Formentic creates its tables and folders and your submissions table, and changes their columns.

Saved Content, Documents and Images, Email: read and write

Formentic keeps your Cloud Page code and your emails in its own Content Builder folder, so updating them is a click, and uploads your test screenshots and email images there.

Contacts and subscribers, Automation Studio. Journeys: Read only if you want journey names shown.

Where answers go

Straight from your Cloud Page into your data extension.

Formentic holds the form setup only. It never receives or stores answers.

    Create the installed package and paste its five details.

  2. Choose your table

    A shared submissions table, or one for this Business Unit.

  3. Add two Cloud Pages

    Formentic gives you the code for a live and a staging page.

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement with CloudPages
  • Permission to create installed packages (an Admin in Setup)
  • A Business Unit for the forms; shared tables need access to Shared Data Extensions

Does it work with several Business Units?

Yes. Each form belongs to a Business Unit, and the table can be shared or per unit.

Do we need a developer?

Only to paste the code into two Cloud Pages once.
