1. About this policy
This Billing & Subscription Policy is the "Billing Plans document" referred to in the Terms and Conditions, Section 5, and forms part of the Terms. Capitalised terms have the meaning given there.
2. Plans
The Service is offered on three Plans:
- Free — a permanently free tier with reduced limits, intended for evaluation and small setups.
- Standard — a paid Plan for teams running the Service in production, with higher limits and standard support.
- Pro — a paid Plan with the highest limits, priority support, and access to advanced features.
Exact limits, features, and current fees for each Plan are shown at formentic.com/pricing and in your account. We will not materially reduce the core functionality of the Plan you're paying for during a paid term without at least 30 days' notice, as described in the Terms, Section 3.3.
3. Trial
Every new account receives a 14-day trial with full access to the highest Plan's features, starting the day the account is created. You may select any Plan at sign-up. We will remind you in your account during the last 3 days of the Trial. Each Client is entitled to one Trial. If you have not confirmed a paid Plan by placing an order by the end of the Trial, your account automatically moves to the Free Plan and you are not charged.
4. Fees, billing cycle and taxes
Fees for paid Plans are invoiced in advance for the billing period you choose (monthly or yearly, or a two-year term where offered), in EUR. Fees are exclusive of VAT, sales tax and similar taxes, which you pay where applicable. EU business clients should provide a valid VAT number so reverse-charge treatment can be applied where it applies. Paid Plans are invoiced and paid by bank transfer, within the payment terms stated on the invoice. We do not collect or store payment card details.
5. Upgrades
Upgrades take effect immediately, and any price difference for the remainder of the current billing period is charged pro rata.
6. Downgrades and effect on your setup
You may downgrade at any time. Your account also moves automatically to the Free Plan if a Trial ends without a confirmed paid Plan, or if a paid Plan is cancelled or not paid (see Section 8 below). A downgrade may restrict or disable features, limits, Users, forms, automations, or Provisioned Assets reserved to higher Plans. Configuration that exceeds Free Plan limits after a downgrade may be disabled and is retained for 30 days, after which it may be deleted unless you upgrade again. You are responsible for reviewing this policy and adapting your setup before and after a downgrade, as described in the Terms, Section 5.8.
7. Renewal and cancellation
Paid Plans renew automatically for successive periods of the same length unless cancelled before the end of the current period. You can cancel at any time in your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for. Except where required by law or stated in this policy, fees already paid are non-refundable.
8. Late or failed payment
If a payment fails or is overdue, we will attempt to notify you and retry the charge. If payment is still not received after at least 7 days' notice, we may move your account to the Free Plan or suspend paid features until payment is received. Overdue amounts may bear interest at the rate permitted by applicable law.
9. Price changes
We may change fees for future billing periods with at least 30 days' written notice. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
