Last updated 23 September 2026 · Effective 23 September 2026 · 3 minute read

In short

  • Use Formentic lawfully, including consent and anti-spam rules.
  • No attacks, probing or attempts to reach other clients’ data.
  • No sensitive personal data or children’s data without our written agreement.
  • Breaking these rules can lead to suspension.

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you and your Users may not do with the Service. It forms part of, and should be read together with, the Terms and Conditions (Section 6.5). Capitalised terms have the meaning given in the Terms.

2. Prohibited uses

You will not, and will not permit any User or third party to, use the Service to:

  • break any applicable law or regulation, including data protection, anti-spam, e-privacy, consumer protection, or export control law;
  • send unsolicited bulk communications, or collect personal data through a form without the notices or consents required by law;
  • upload, transmit or store malicious code, or attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or its infrastructure without our prior written permission;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other clients' accounts or data, or the systems or networks connected to the Service;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, copy, resell, sublicense, or create derivative works of the Service, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction;
  • submit special categories of personal data (health, biometric, genetic, racial or ethnic origin, political or religious beliefs, sexual orientation, trade union membership, or criminal history) or data relating to children, without a lawful basis and our prior written agreement;
  • use the Service in a way that could disable, overburden, damage or impair it, or interfere with any other client's use of it;
  • misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or impersonate any person or entity; or
  • use the Service to build or operate a product that competes with the Service, or to benchmark it for a competing product, without our prior written agreement.

3. Your SFMC account

You remain solely responsible for what you connect to the Service and how you configure it, including complying with your own agreement with Salesforce. Formentic's own access to your SFMC account is limited as described in the Terms, Section 4, and Formentic will never use that access for a purpose other than providing the Service to you.

4. Reporting abuse

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, or believe your account has been used without authorisation, contact legal@formentic.com as soon as possible.

5. Enforcement

A violation of this AUP is a material breach of the Terms. We may investigate suspected violations and take action proportionate to the risk, including warning you, disabling specific functionality, suspending or terminating your account, and, where required by law, reporting to the relevant authority — as described in the Terms, Section 6.6.
